Jason Witten - Of Counsel
Jason Witten is an experienced international attorney licensed to practice in California state and federal courts, and also licensed to practice law in England and Wales as a Solicitor. He provides legal services for clients in the United Kingdom and European Union as well as in the US. Mr. Witten also has extensive experience representing companies in China and Taiwan engaging in international business transactions.
Mr. Witten’s practice focuses on international commercial transactions, intellectual property, business litigation and corporate guidance among the United States, the European Union and Asia. He advises on a variety of matters including commercial transactions, intellectual property, business fraud, labor issues and how to proceed on a daily basis to avoid litigation exposure. Mr. Witten has handled various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He has significant lead trial experience and has represented many large corporations in international business transactions.
Representative Trials:
Mr. Witten obtained a $2.7 Million jury verdict for his client in a case involving breach of contract and the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing arising from the opposing party’s refusal to honor a promissory note. The jury rejected the opposing party’s claim that the note had been cancelled, and found the alleged cancellation to be a forgery.
Mr. Witten represented a large technology company lessee against a property owner in a triple net lease action resulting in a jury verdict that saved the client over $1 Million which accounted for eighty percent of the client’s demand.
Mr. Witten successfully represented a land owner against his partner in a trial that severed their partnership, but retained eighty percent of the land for the client and defeated a claim for fraud.
Mr. Witten represented an international technology company against a customer at trial and obtained a verdict for the full amount owed of $520,000 for the client and a finding of fraud against the opposing party.
